Welcome to the 2010-2011 season of the Connections Chamber Music Series! Whether you are returning to our Series after last year’s successful inaugural season, or attending a concert for the very first time, we appreciate your support of Connections.

We continue our goal of creating a living connection between composer, performer, and audience by bringing incredible performances of eclectic music to California’s southland. Our season highlights include Danse Macabre, a celebration of the Day of the Dead, with music from Crumb, Shostakovich, and more. Back by popular demand, we also present Silver Screen Onstage, including concert works of legendary film composers accompanied by film clips of their work. We are also excited to present the US premiere of Chinary Ung’s Spiral X (version for amplified piano trio), co-commissioned by the Connections Chamber Music Series and the New Zealand Trio. This work will be part of our Hearing Voices program, featuring special guests and great vocal music.
